Responsibilities

• Senior member focusing on origination and execution of Equity Solutions transactions in the Asia ex-Japan region for key client types, such as private equity funds, corporates, and family offices, both using direct relationships and utilizing the broader network of origination/sales channels within Nomura

Requirements

• Strong relationships with private equity funds, corporates and family office clients in India and SEA with at least 15 margin loan transactions executed.
• Good understanding of regulatory framework and structural complexities in India and SEA with ability to think outside the box and structure within the regulatory frameworks in these markets with experience of executing non-standard transactions; good understanding of regulatory framework and structuring capability in Hong Kong and Australia to be able to help out on other situations as the team may demand.

• Maintain a working understanding of fund documentation(s) and apply the terms to the financial reporting and the income and expense allocations
• Maintain a working knowledge of current accounting principles and developing solutions for issues
• Preparation and review of financial statements and footnotes for audit purpose
• Liase with banks, auditors, brokers and custodians to ensure smooth service delivery to clients and timely completion of deliverables
• Involved in new funds on-boarding process
• Primary contact to client on daily operational, issue discussion and any other request
• Resolve issues/queries raised clients in a timely manner and maintain a high level of client satisfaction
• Identify and highlight opportunities for internal process improvement and increase in operational efficiency
• Ensure teams adhere to controls and processes/procedures for the purpose of NAV computation
• Ensure that all client deliverables are on time and meet set quality standards

The Director of Membership and Affiliates plays a crucial leadership role, directly reporting to the Chief Officer of Membership. This individual is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the educational membership functions, developing and maintaining the affiliate programs, and ensuring operational excellence and growth. The role demands a strategic mindset focused on membership engagement, process efficiency, and affiliate relationship management. 

How you will Contribute:

1. Membership: 

• Lead operational and budget planning to ensure the membership department aligns with the organization's strategic goals. 
• Manage and oversee membership projects within area of responsibility from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. 
• Generate comprehensive reports to track membership growth, engagement levels, and other key metrics. 
• Develop and refine membership systems and processes to improve efficiency and member satisfaction. 
• Craft and implement engagement plans to increase member participation and retention.

• Fluency in the English language 
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. 
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in membership management and/or affiliate relations, with a proven track record of success. 
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance. 
• Excellent project management, strategic planning, and organizational skills. 
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with a diverse range of individuals and groups. 
• Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and budget management. 
• Experience with membership software and CRM systems. 
• Ability to travel internationally 10-15%.
