JOB SUMMARY

• This role will be part of the team which holds complete ownership for reporting, analytics as well as commercial aspects with respect to the Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) cost base covering core Retail, Private and Business Banking.
• We are seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and motivated Lead for Strategic Cost Initiatives to join our team. The ideal candidate will i) take personal ownership on the cost initiatives, ii) engage early with the teams that are setting up the business cases for strategic action, iii) drive cost analytics to enable business with effective decision-making, iv) track the impact of strategic action to ensure that the execution is attaining the required goals, v) partner with finance leadership and business to implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency within our banking operations.
• The incumbent will be responsible to support some of the key business/ finance stakeholders, own some assigned cost lines, process / agenda towards BAU and project engagement. It will require strong self-starting & hands-on skills, analytical mindset, innovation, and willingness to work with limited direct supervision. There is an expectation that the selected individual will have the potential to raise the bar on performance by setting high quality cost support to demanding senior stakeholders.
• The successful candidate needs to develop a strong understanding of WRB’s cost dynamics, drivers and trends impacting the business, as well as the opportunity to influence strategic decision making. The role suits an individual with strong analytical, problem solving & change management skills with experience of driving change within large multinational company. This role also requires collaboration with various departments to gather requirements, conduct data analysis and support decision making processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role reports to the Global Head - WRB Cost management and key responsibilities include the following:

• Collect, analyse and interpret financial data related to cost-saving initiatives under Fit For Growth (FFG) programme , providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor the progress of FFG initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate updates to stakeholders.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including wider finance team, operation and project management to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency initiatives .

As Director, Responsible Supply Chain (RSC) in Singapore you will be part of the Global Responsible Supply Chain Leadership Team, reporting into the Senior Director, RSC, based in Nike’s World Headquarters in Beaverton Oregon. You will lead a team of sustainability subject matter experts, based in Singapore, driving performance against sustainability strategy and targets. Working closely with cross functional teams within global sustainability and supply chain.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Responsible Supply Chain Director in our Singapore office, to join the global Responsible Supply Chain leadership team. We operate one of the largest supply chains in the world and work with partners that make and move Nike products across the globe. Their leadership in sustainability is essential to ensure we meet our targets. To be successful in this role, we need someone with deep expertise in operationalizing strategies in global supply chains, preferably with experience in manufacturing, transportation and distribution.

The successful candidate will be able to think strategically, but also translate strategies into action with clear and aligned plans. They will be able to communicate our vision and motivate others into action, and able to drive organizational change. They will also be a trusted leader who fosters teamwork and develops others.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

The successful candidate will consult on Nike’s Enterprise Sustainability Strategy, Standards and targets, leading the implementation and execution of Nike’s Responsible Supply Chain (RSC) Strategy with Supply Chain Partners. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering Nike’s Foundational Excellence program with Supply Chain Partners, driving performance against Code and Standards.
• Building Partner capabilities through Summits, Workshops and supporting Learning Communities.
• Driving continuous improvement and consistency in strategy creation, alignment, implementation and execution processes.
• Developing annual plans for Supply Chain Partner’s group level target implementation.
• Driving performance against Nike’s enterprise sustainability targets with Supply Chain Partners.
• Driving discipline in data management, analytics & reporting.
• Providing expert level tech expertise.

Objectives:

As a member of PPIS’s dynamic Senior Management Team, the director’s main role is to devise and implement an effective plan to communicate and market the vision, mission and strategic goals of PPIS to both the internal and external audience.

The division and/or departments under this director’s purview include business excellence, corporate communications, fundraising, marketing, research and community engagement as well as volunteer management among others.

The division and/or departments under the director’s lead is expected to attain and maintain certifications in business excellence, devise and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy including but not limited to brand management, communications, content management for social media, newsletters and website, devise and implement and effective fund raising strategy to raise funds according to set targets, devise and implement effective community engagement strategies such as membership and volunteer management programmes, manage and maintain excellent internal communications, media relations as well public affairs.

Community Engagement

Qualification & Job Requirements

• Masters Degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or MBA
• At least 10 years' experience in corporate communications, marketing or journalism
• Experience in the social services or not for profit industry with a focus on project management is preferred
• Proven leadership competencies to drive teamwork, creative problem solving, flexibility, results driven, interpersonal skills, negotiating
