Summarized Purpose:

• Provides support to investigator sites, monitors, department, business unit or function through communication of information, training sites and documentation of services pertaining to clinical trials. The role of the research assistant is to support immune cell manufacturing, including CAR-T cells, for several ongoing clinical trials. We are seeking highly motivated, conscientious and meticulous individuals to join our experienced team, be trained in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and be involved in research aimed at improving the treatment of patients with cancer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. work in a (GMP)-certified facility manufacturing immune cells for clinical use, including CAR-T cells.
2. apply various techniques in tissue culture, molecular biology, flow cytometry under rigorous GMP conditions, for which training will be provided.
3. work effectively within a team of other skilled cell engineers
4. be able to practice meticulous bookkeeping and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
5. Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures.
6. Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI.

Qualifications

The applicant should:

1. Have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences (those with no experience are welcome to apply)
2. Have experience in general laboratory techniques, especially aseptic tissue culture techniques
3. Be able to work independently and in a team, have an investigative nature with great attention to detail
4. Have knowledge of computer applications, e.g. MS word, MS excel
