II. Major Functions:
The Manager should be able to do business development and corporate stewardship within WWF-Singapore. The Asst. Manager / Manager will have the drive, knowledge and skills to engage business leaders in transformational change, delivering shared conservation and community objectives, which will enable Singapore’s businesses to be a leading force in achieving the country’s sustainability goals over the next 10-30 years.
The role is also responsible for creating innovative corporate partnerships and fundraising channels. As part of the Fundraising Unit, the Asst. Manager / Manager will contribute to bringing conservation knowledge to the local community, focusing particularly on corporate donors by developing and deploying effective partnership models and marketing strategies. At the same time, also responsible for delivering key engagement initiatives under the Together Possible @ Work Programme of WWF.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Direction & Leadership
- Support the Senior Manager and Deputy Director of Partnerships and Philanthropy to ensure that fundraising and acquisition goals are achieved and tracked, and contribute to the department’s overall fundraising objectives
- Develop a strategy to build and further grow the three (3) income pillars of Together Possible @ Work and execute on these strategies.
- Analyse and monitor the results of campaigns and partnerships to apply learnings and insights in the development of strategies
Product and Business Development
- Work with relevant WWF Programme Teams, including WWF’s Education & Outreach team to develop innovative marketing products and strategies to on-board companies for the employee engagement programme.
- Identify and foster strong relationships with new corporate prospects via inbound and outbound leads.
- Engage with existing corporate partners, and top-up their support via employee engagement, to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Generate fresh leads via employee engagement activities and pave the way for the Partnerships Team to engage in new corporate partnerships.
- Develop the workplace giving channel and on-board the employees of WWF-Singapore’s corporate partners as regular donors through the programme.
- Develop the employee fundraiser channel as a source of corporate donations.
- Where applicable, be in charge of managing some key industry sectors for other types of partnerships beyond employee engagement.
- Collaborate with other teams within WWF and contribute to ongoing programme discussions regarding conservation and outreach projects based in Singapore.
Event and Account Management
- Lead in making sure that employee engagement events are delivered in collaboration with various teams within WWF.
- Complete the necessary tasks to ensure the proper delivery of employee engagement events, including but not limited to: external vendor and corporate client coordination; event facilitation; post-event impact reporting.
- Where applicable, ensure that employee engagement partners are properly handed over to the Stewardship / Corporate Business Development Team to follow up on the partnership for further relationship / expansion.
Programme Maintenance: Together Possible @ Work
- Maintain the programme microsite with up-to-date campaign information, new engagement product offerings, and toolkits.
- Monitor results of employee engagements, report back on objectives, apply learnings across engagements.
- Share best practices of local employee engagement strategies, and provide other WWF global network offices with recommendations based on WWF-Singapore’s successes.
IV. Profile:
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or business administration or equivalent industry experience.
- 1-2 years’ experience in B2B business development, account management, or events management is a must.
- Proven track record in one of the following areas:

- Must have a strong fundraising, sales or business development background.
- Passionate about fundraising for environmental causes and working in NGOs, and are able to utilise sales and marketing concepts to further WWF’s conservation goals.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Great at leading and facilitating small or big events.
- Great communicator, specifically targeted towards corporate contacts.
- Professional, well organised, self-motivated, and responsible.
- Outstanding presentation skills and public speaking abilities.
- Possess leadership skills, yet still be a team player.
- Strong stakeholder focus and service-oriented attitude.
- Strong attention to detail, since this role regularly manages corporate accounts, budgets, which may involve reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Maturity, tactfulness, good judgement, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Has great time management skills. Can multi-task as the role requires ideation, product and business development, relationship building.
- Plans and organises/ manages the job independently and proactively.
- Interest in conservation and sustainability is appreciated.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.

Working Relationships:
Internal – Ensure intra and inter-department collaboration for the optimal use of resources and organisational alignment. Work closely with the Partnerships and Philanthropy Team, and the wider Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Team to create synergistic and creative means of fundraising.
External – Works with various partners supporting WWF’s work. Coordinates with external vendors relating to events, communications, materials production as and when required.
