THKMC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission To Serve Mankind to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Manager (FM) to lead our organisation's budgeting and financial planning process. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the FM will lead the organisation's budgeting process and provide critical financial insight to senior management and the Board. The FM will also provide guidance and support to departments across the organisation.
Core responsibilities
Budget Development and Management:
Lead the medium to long term planning of capital and operational budgets in collaboration with Corporate Service Chiefs and Department Heads
Prepare the annual budget proposal and oversee the budgeting process for all services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial guidelines and budget assumptions
Collaborate with department heads to understand their financial needs and constraints
Liaise with team members to identify and resolve budget-related issues
Lead the review and enhancement of budgeting methodology and management
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Conduct quarterly budget variance analysis and provide explanations for significant variances to senior management and Board members
Monitor budget utilisation throughout the year, ensuring that expenditure is within approved budget limits, identifying variances and recommending corrective action
Conduct budget reviews and forecasts to assess financial health and identify potential risks or opportunities
Prepare comprehensive financial reports for presentation to the Finance Committee and Board members
Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions
Treasury Management:
Implement strategies to optimise the return on idle cash while maintaining necessary liquidity
Record all investment transactions in the accounting system, including purchases, sales, interest, and dividends
Perform monthly reconciliations between investment statements and the general ledger
Ensure proper classification of investments in accordance with accounting standards and proper disclosure of investments in the financial statements
Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions
Grant Management (Matching Grants):
Develop and implement strategies to maximise matching grant opportunities
Create and maintain systems to track matching grant requirements and deadlines
Oversee accounting for all matching grant transactions
Maintain thorough documentation of all matching grant transactions and decisions
Ensure compliance with matching grant regulations and reporting requirements and liaise with relevant government agencies as required
Coordinate with external auditors for any grant-specific audits or reviews
Team Leadership and Development:
Ensure that established financial policies, guidelines and procedures are adhered to and consistently applied
Provide financial guidance and support to departments across the organisation
Supervise and mentor finance staff
Facilitate training workshops to disseminate knowledge to internal team members and external stakeholders
Other duties:
Participate in internal and external audits
Identify areas for process improvement and make recommendations to management
Participate in system implementations and enhancements
Participate in organisation-wide activities such as internal committees or task forces as assigned
Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
CPA or equivalent certification is an advantage
Experience in a similar sized organisation. Experience in a local non-profit / Social Service Agency (SSA) or government agency would be an advantage
At least 5 years' experience in financial management with a strong knowledge of budgeting principles and practices
Proven ability to manage complex budgets and financial models

Collaborate with Office of Safety and Security to develop and maintain a HR crisis management plan that addresses a range of potential crises that may affect employees.
Develop communication strategies and draft communications package for internal and external stakeholders during crises.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree, preferably in the area of Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least 10 years of HR-related work experience, of which 5 years should be in a similar role focusing on employee investigations, labour relations and employee relations.
Familiar with general HR policies & practices, local Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, Workplace Fairness Legislation, Retirement & Re-employment Act, etc.
Good track record of engaging and managing industry labour union representatives / officials.

The incumbent in the position is responsible for managing the Guest Relation Section and providing the highest professional services in accordance with Kempinski’s policies, procedures, and service standards. They also act as a representative of the hotel management and handle all guest relation matters brought to their attention, to the satisfaction of the guest.
OVERALL OBJECTIVES
The job of Guest Relations Manager is executed satisfactorily when:
KEA (Kempinski Experience Assessment) audit results are 85% and above.
LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) audit results are 85% and above.
CSS (Customer Satisfaction Survey) results are rated on an average with “5” and above.
Hotel and Outlets are promoted.
Guest complaints are minimized and if occur followed up efficient and are reported to Operations team.
In case of immediate need, the Guest Relations Manager helps with reception duties.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Communication of hotel & company philosophy and internal hotel representation.
Have an in-depth knowledge of the hotel and the geographical layout of the city / surroundings.
Be knowledgeable about all VIPs in-house, hotel functions and special events.
Collect as much feedback information on VIPs as possible (on daily basis) by checking e.g. Google, Opera PMS company wide, briefs and distribute this information within the hotel to all relevant departments by e.g. daily guest fact sheets/reports, newsletter, etc. and ensure information is updated in the guest profile.
Welcome, facilitate and bid farewell to as many guests as possible.
Top VIPs MUST be welcomed upon arrival, escorted to their room and bid farewell upon departure.
Prepare the iPads for in-room check-ins.
Prepare the daily amenity report.
Handle special amenity requests and room setup’s for anniversaries, birthdays, honeymoons etc.
Liaise with FOM, to prepare tailor made guest itinerary for Top VIP’s when appropriate and coordinate VIP greetings and departures – ahead of time.
Obtain as much information about a guest’s stay to be entered in the guest history.
Welcome visitors to the hotel, assist with general information, internal promotions and directions.
Handle guest complaints and requests in a polite and efficient manner, give further instructions to the relevant staff if needed to ensure optimal guest satisfaction.
Maintain a record of all complaints and requests, follow up and inform concerned operating departments.
Handle all incoming Guest Intelligence Pre-Arrival Surveys.
Create and implement a minimum of 5 Platinum level and 3 Black level Local Experiences for the hotel.
Perform special projects and related duties as assigned.
Walk throughout the hotel recognizing guests and engage with them appropriately.
Attend & participate in daily briefings as scheduled.
Report potential and existing hazards and rectified immediately.
Provide information to all guests regarding the services and possible internal promotions of the hotel.
Senior Management on any unusual circumstances that might affect guest service and expectation.
Take decisions on upgrades / comps / rebates etc. as per stipulated hotel policies and procedures.
Participate in training programs.
Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.
