RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of the team managing operations of the Active Ageing Centre (AAC) - a go-to point for seniors to build strong social connections, take part in recreational activities, access community health services, and contribute to the community.

General Operations

• Be familiar with the objectives of AACs, compliant to operation rules and guidelines, ensuring safety of seniors and staff
• Promote racial/religious harmony among the seniors. Assist in care of the seniors, observe and monitor their health and well-being.
• Work closely with supervisor to:
  • oversee compliance in operations, directives, KPI and all work processes within assigned centres/programmes/projects
  • adhere and ensure compliance across the centres according to healthcare directives set by the Management & MOH
  • Manage crisis and reporting when necessary.

Programme Planning and Management

• Plan and manage programmes such as intergenerational programmes, outdoor sessions, interest-based activities and wellness engagement. This includes liaising/advising volunteers/partners on programme planning and implementation, attending to related administration and logistics.
• Promote and register seniors for programmes

Befriending & Buddying (B&B) Programme

• Manage intake and referral of befriendees via various platforms/modes
• Screen, deploy and review assigned befrienders-to-befriendees. Arrange quarterly befriender training/meetings.

Outreach & Community Screening Tool (CST)

• Participate in outreach to seniors
• Administer CPPF, Informed Consent & CST to potential members

Volunteer Management & Community Partnership

• Contribute to volunteer role design, recruitment, training, deployment, engagement and appreciation, in alignment to the Organisation's Volunteer & Community Engagement (VCE) guidelines and coordination with the VCE team on required training.
• Recruit volunteers and work with community partners to support AAC services.

Information & Referral

• Attend to walk-in, phone and text enquiries and correspondence
• Manage referrals and consult supervisor where needed
• Be familiar with existing social services/programmes and provide service linkage on behalf of seniors. Provide Information on relevant schemes, grants and support available for seniors and their caregivers.

Data Management & Administrative Support

• Tracking of AAC KPIs such as administration of CST, programmes' participation.
• Ensure confidentiality of client data and all required data duly recorded in the respective data management systems, and documents are filed and organized.
• Provide administrative support such as put up claims on financial system in a timely manner. Track expenses and income of selected funded programmes.

Centre Operations & Facilities Management

• Ensure smooth and optimal running of the centre. This involves maintenance of fixed assets and its listing. Upkeep of office and IT systems, devices and equipment. Oversee contractual arrangements such as air-con servicing, pest control. Purchase and replenishment of supplies.
• Environmental Sanitation Regime work as a team to ensure compliance to cleaning requirements by NEA.
• Alert Alarm System (AAS) Management (if applicable). Undertake checks, respond and report according to SOP and enlist support technician where necessary.

Ad-hoc/Others

• Undertake any other responsibilities and duties assigned by supervisor which may include support in administrative processes, partnership engagements with community partners.

ITE/Diploma in relevant disciplines such as Community Care and Social Service, Gerontology, or other relevant fields in Social Sciences

• 2-3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a SAC/AAC or have volunteered with seniors in a community setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Required to handle queries/concerns from elderly clients who are mostly mandarin/dialect-speaking. Proficiency in mandarin and/or dialects is essential.

About the job

Working with the ED of Children and Youth Group (CYG), the Asst Manager is expected to lead the development of new fundraising channels through community engagement as well as engaging and increasing the donations from the current ones. The Asst Manager will also recruit and engage volunteers and corporates to support the needs of vulnerable children and families under our care, whether in our children's homes or other services. The Asst Manager will regularly engage potential and current supporters of CYG in order to deepen relationships and networks so that our pool of supporters can be grown.

Job Responsibilities

1. Community Partnership and fundraising

• Raise funds for our cause and meet fundraising targets

THE ROLE

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support to Supervisor/Senior Executive in Gym Tonic and Frailty Management Programme (FMP).

Gym Tonic:

• Implement Gym Tonic therapy programmes.
