As a Marine Assurance Officer, you are an independent operational adviser, auditor and coach for the Company and vessels on matters related to marine assurance. You provide day-to-day Quality, Healthy and Safety, Security and Environmental (QHSSE) advice and active assistance within the business unit, department, vessel and or project. In this role, you ensure that all onshore and offshore activities are carried out with the highest regard to the health and safety of all personnel involved and the protection of the environment and the prevention of pollution.

Within the role you will advise Vessel Managers, Technical Superintendents and Masters’ on maritime regulations and the interpretation thereof to ensure Flag State and International Maritime compliance. You will advise Purchasers on equipment purchasing for ships to ensure they meet maritime regulations and standards.

You will implement vessel safety rules and practices to promote safety on our vessels, and leading by example towards compliance through a positive and safe attitude & through contributing to the HSSE awareness of all employees by coaching and advice. The candidate will assist with the QA/QC program throughout the design and construction phase of the largest multistory data centre in Asia (The Project).

Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, the candidate will ensure the implementation and compliance with the Quality Assurance System and the scope of work related to electrical items.
