We are particularly interested in applicants who can play an instrumental role in addressing questions relating to ethics in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies—both through teaching students who are pursuing engineering, computer science, and architecture majors and through interdisciplinary research collaborations with engineering, design, and computer science faculty. DFS Global Finance Services is building our team of accounting professionals towards our NextGen Finance vision. The candidate will have the opportunity to join the Center of Excellence, leveraging new technologies, Process Reengineering, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and Data Analytics to create value for the individual and the Company. Additionally, DFS invests in people development and facilitates dynamic career moves across various accounting functions such as Regional Controllers, Group Reporting, Transformation Office and Global Tax.

As a member of the Global Finance Services team, the candidate will perform the daily operations in the Procure to pay function and ensure timely closing of the accounts during the month-end.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for all key aspects of the Global procure to pay function (including processes for inventory accounting)
• Provide leadership, guidance, resource planning and staff development to the team members
• Review and supervise the team for reconciliations, reports, schedules and Statement of Accounts
• Ensure timely resolution of issues and queries from internal and external parties
• Ensure procedures are in compliance with prevailing corporate policies, internal controls and regulatory requirements
• Ensure all payment transactions are complete, accurate and processed in a timely manner
• Manage monthly and year-end AP closing
• Ensure timely tax submission (GST/Withholding tax)
• Actively reviewing, standardizing, streamlining and improving procure to pay processes, identifying areas of improvement and automation
• Review and handle exceptions for various systems (Robotic Process Automation, supplier invoice interface system IVI, Coupa, Concur)
• Prepare ad hoc reports and lead/participate in projects as assigned
• Support and respond to Internal and External audit

What we’re looking for:

· Bachelor’s degree in accountancy

· At least 4 years relevant working experience, preferably from a MNC environment

· CPA or CA licenses are desired

· Must be proficient in MS Excel/computer savvy, SAP experience is an advantage

The Senior Accountant/Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for maintaining day-to-day financial reporting and regulatory compliance needs of our business. The person will work closely with the company's cross-country team, while reporting to head of finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate month end closing and prepare monthly reports including monthly financial statements, cash flow statements and management reporting
• Ensure compliance of financial records and controls with corporate statutory, and regulatory requirements
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of quarterly Singapore GST returns
• Ensure overall good maintenance of accounting books
• Assist in cash flow, credit control, and receivables management
• Work collaboratively with various internal parties across the company's global offices to acquire or provide information needed for analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Participate with team in liaising with external auditor, tax agents, and external parties for all statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
• Prepare payments by certifying documentation and requesting disbursements
• Any ad-hoc tasks as assigned

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent Professional Qualification (CA Singapore / ACCA / CPA)

• At least 3 years of accounting full set experience with strong working knowledge accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• Proficient in Xero & MS office
• Good time management and organisational skills to meet deadlines
• Adaptive, ble to multi-task in a startup-esque environment
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills, and good team player
