Sales Manager Requirements and skills

• BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field
• Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
• Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
• Strong business sense and industry expertise
• Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.

Position Overview:

• We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Events Operations Manager to join our team.
• As an Events Operations Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events, from in-person events to hybrid events, ensuring their successful implementation from conception to completion.
• You will oversee the operational aspects, including logistics, vendor management, budgeting, and on-site coordination. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Coordination:

• Collaborate with clients to understand event objectives, requirements, and budget constraints.
• Develop event timelines, action plans, and budgets.
• Coordinate event logistics, including setup, signage, audiovisual requirements, and attendee registration.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, health, and safety regulations.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

• Track and report event financials, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• On-Site Event Management:
• Oversee all on-site event operations, ensuring smooth execution and timely resolution of any issues.

Communication:

• Liaise with internal teams, external partners, and event sponsors to align expectations and ensure successful event delivery.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on event progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Act as the main point of contact for event-related inquiries, maintaining effective communication channels.

Post-Event Evaluation and Analysis:

• Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback and metrics to assess event success.
• Identify areas for improvement and propose recommendations for future events.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of event-related information, including attendee data, budgets, and evaluations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 3 years in the events industry specialising in Conferences and Exhibitions.
• Proven experience in planning and managing events
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good knowledge on Audio Visual, Setup and Teardown, Venue Management, Vendor Management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
• Detail-oriented and able to anticipate and mitigate potential risks or issues.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
