Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for a Business and Technical Leader to lead our growing Singapore Digital Buildings team. In this role, you will be responsible to:
- Lead engineering teams carrying out digital building technologies studies, design and construction observation. This work typically covers the fields of:
o Wired and wireless building networks
o Access control, surveillance and visitor management systems
o Tenant experience platforms and tenant mobile device solutions
o Smart building solutions including IoT systems, smart lighting and building data analytics
o Building Management Systems
- These projects vary in scale with the largest buildings exceeding 100,000 m2.
- We require someone who works well with clients and has a hands-on, delivery focused, working style.
- Our projects often require complex and innovative technical solutions for our sophisticated building developer clients. We are also expected to design practical and economical engineering solutions to our clients’ problems through applications of technical principles. You will therefore need to be familiar with the leading solutions in the market, be able to guide our clients to the right approach, and be hands-on in showing our team how to document the agreed systems.
- Manage a small but growing team of technical staff. Nurture the existing staff’s development and recruit high performers to further grow the team’s capability, as required to meet our projects needs and changing industry trends.
- Understand our client’s business and strategic issues, to ensure successful project outcomes and repeat business revenue.
- Understand risk on all jobs through implementation of sound audit, business and financial management and understand impact of work practices on the financial outcome of our projects.
Pre-Requisites
- A Tertiary Education Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- A minimum of ten years of relevant experience.
- Extensive practical application of principles and practices within digital building systems
- Proven experience in a consulting environment
- Demonstrated experience of working and building relationships with international clients and an ability to handle multi-cultural diverse design team.
A successful candidate must have experience in leading large ICT and Smart Building commercial building projects. They will have excellent written & spoken communication skills in English and be able to work independently & exercise initiative.
