JOB DESCRIPTION

THIS IS A 2-YEARS RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE.

The Senior Technician/Technician – Centre Management System Support is responsible for ensuring all exhibits, audio-visual equipment, facilities, and essential services are available daily to support daily operations for centres/museums under Defence Collective Singapore (DCS), creating a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for employees, visitors, and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily Startup & Shutdown of Facilities, Exhibits, Attractions & Projection Systems.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, exhibition and gallery equipment, HVAC, and mechanical repairs to ensure the proper functioning of facilities and equipment.
• Building Systems: Monitor and maintain building systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), fire protection, and security systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Contractor Coordination: Coordinate with external contractors, vendors and service providers for specialized repairs, installations, or renovations as needed. Supervise and inspect the works of contractors and the works of the service providers (cleaning, housekeeping, landscaping, pest control, car park and security). To ensure contractors’ compliance to safety, regulations and level of standards set my DCS.
• Event Setup: Setup of logistics inclusive but not limited to AV Systems, Furniture, and equipment for events & daily organised visits.
• Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels of supplies, tools, and materials needed for facility maintenance and repair activities.
  Recommend buying of critical spares and consumables for various facilities repair and improvement and participate in facilities improvement projects.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages, equipment failures, fire emergency/incidents or building damage, and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions.
• Supervision and Leadership: Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of facilities technicians (interns & part-timers), providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.

REQUIREMENTS

• N-Level/O Level/ NITEC/ Professional Certificate.
• Preferable with 1 year working experience in similar roles. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including proficiency in clear, concise, and compelling oral and written communication in English.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure and to manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities while dealing with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• To receive the work order from Assistant Purchasing Manager to carry out jobs by the requirement of the order.
• To clarify with customers via Marketing department enquiries or item descriptions that are unclear
• To submit quotation worksheet to assistant purchasing manager within the time frame as stated on work order for approval and make the necessary amendments
• To ensure the timely delivery of stores of confirmed orders by supplier.
• To provide Picking list, Stock chit, and coordinate with Operations Department on delivery time.
• To ensure that all relevant documents (i.e. Certificate, D.O) are in order for delivery
• To hand over signed delivery orders to Accounts department.
• Coordinate return of stores to supplier, submit Goods Return Note (if any) and collection of Credit note.
• To update system and post the necessary documents after completion of order

The Senior Research Engineer will be responsible for the development of Computer Vision solutions, as well as planning, implementing, and management of GPU computing infrastructure for research on Computer Vision, Image Processing, and Multimedia Forensics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working in research teams on Computer Vision projects in object detection, action & event recognition, and scene understanding
• Design, implementation, and management of the GPU computing infrastructure for ROSE Lab
• Hardware installation, and module level failure diagnosis and repair, as well as liaison and management of vendors for systems, storage, network, and server room facilities

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering, or related field
• At least 10-years’ experience in Computer Vision, Linux systems and NVIDIA GPU management and related areas
• Research experience in Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Deep Learning, and working with large-scale datasets, in particular in a university or research lab
• Proficiency in systems such as Linux (Ubuntu, centos), shell scripting, Docker, NFS and MooseFS, is mandatory.
• Proficiency in software such as Caffe, PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, and programming languages such as C/C++ and Python is essential.
• Knowledge of GPU computing, CUDA programming, optimization (eg. with TensorRT), and industry experience in engineering software development would be a strong advantage.
