Job Responsibilities:

• Immediate handling of incoming purchase orders from vessels
• Send orders to relevant suppliers for quotations
• To negotiate prices and order follow up with suppliers
• Evaluate incoming quotations and confirm to choose supplier after approval by Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority
• To liaise closely with warehouse, and suppliers and to ensure on-time delivery
• Give forwarding instructions to the supplier
• Keep the vessels and Vessel Managers updated about deliveries
• Contact with vessel’s port agents
• Custom Clearance
• Make necessary formal bookings for service and repairs based on the practical arrangements made by the Vessel Manager
• Maintained and update supplier’s database on various platforms.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma holder in a related field/discipline
• A self-motivated individual with a minimum 3 years experience in marine industries is a MUST
• Possess initiative and able to multi-task
• Resourceful with good negotiation skills
• Tech Savvy, adaptable to working with ERP
