The Role

The Technology Workflow Sales Leader will oversee market success, coordinate sales efforts across the BU’s and Workflows, drive alignment and consistency with the broader ServiceNow sales ecosystem, and will act as an advocate for the organization as a whole.  This individual will partner closely with the Core sales team, Solution Consulting teams, ACE, Marketing, Global Sales Development, Industry and Product teams to simplify execution and to accelerate growth.  The AVP will exemplify the “Hungry and Humble” ServiceNow mantra to extend the reach and influence of Solution Sales.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and ambitious Technical Sales professional to help lead the identifying and closing of growth opportunities for our Oils & Chemicals offerings within existing customers across the Asia Pacific region; as well as maximising upsell during renewals in coordination with account managers across the Asia Pacific region.

The Technical Sales team is a key driver for sales execution and performance across existing accounts. You will be instrumental for the achievement of sales growth targets as well as the effective use of resources to achieve targets.

Main Responsibilities

• Product and sector expertise:
  • Develop a deep understanding of the value of our Oils & Chemicals solutions to our customers and a good understanding of the Oils & Chemicals sector to support new business identification and customer retention.
  • Act as an internal ambassador for the Oils & Chemicals business, supporting communication of product enhancements and market developments across the organisation and working with teams including sales, customer focus, customer solutions, marketing, research and consulting.
• Retention and proactive new business development:
  • Partner with Regional Sales colleagues to broaden and deepen our Oils & Chemicals relationships within existing customer accounts, understand customer workflows and demonstrate how our Oils & Chemicals solutions can address them, identify unmet customer needs, and uncover new buying centres. 
  • Lead all aspects of the customer lifecycle by working with other functions to support onboarding, engagement, retention, and cross selling.
• Territory planning:
  • Develop, regularly maintain, and own a sales plan for your territory. Identify key growth markets, needle moving opportunities, and risks within your existing portfolio to plan your time effectively and develop a sales strategy and tactics.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to build and execute on your plan, including Regional Sales, other Product Sales colleagues, Customer Focus, Research, and Consulting. 
• Product development collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Product and Research teams to help shape the Oils & Chemicals product development roadmap based on customer feedback, your experience and knowledge of customer workflows, and relevant competitor intelligence.
  • Support new Oils & Chemicals product and service development launches.
• Own the sales process:
  • take responsibility for the following aspects of the sales process which include prospecting, qualification, and selling the value proposition at all levels
  • collaborate with the regional Sales team by providing product sales support to the following aspects of the sales process which include, proposals pitching and technical & commercial negotiations,
  • ensure all aspects of the sales process must be handled efficiently and fully documented.
• Accurate sales forecasting:
  • Effectively manage the business pipeline to ensure accurate forecasting in Salesforce.

Purpose of the role

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying robust sales opportunities, profiling prospective customers, discovering their needs and driving new business through various outbound and inbound campaigns focused on security. 

You will help businesses work better together, move fast and innovate. As a member of the Sales Development team, you will be the first point of contact for hundreds of businesses, proactively engaging them to build enthusiasm while identifying and qualifying their security business needs to propose adequate solutions and send them on the most appropriate Sales path.

You will work towards individual targets, but will also be part of a larger sales team with a focus to grow our customer base across APAC. You will be in a phone-based environment, where you will interact with customers primarily via outbound calls.

Responsibilities

• Hit quarterly Key Performance Metrics, and hit a target level of activity daily and weekly
• Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts to identify high potential prospects, both new business and upsell
• Execute outbound prospecting to source, contact, and engage prospective customers
• Educate customers on what we have to offer
• Execute daily outbound phone calls and emails (mostly cold calling), contact C-level decision makers, build quick rapport and assess needs.
• Understand prospects' pain points, gather technical requirements, correlate business needs to available Cloud security solutions (solution-selling) and build value for next steps in the sales process
• Update and maintain prospect and customer data in Salesforce.com (CRM database). Manage leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities and activities in Salesforce.com
• Work towards team and individual goals for key performance indicators like productivity, conversion rates, opportunities and pipeline.
• Create quotes and close smaller value deals. 
• Act as a point of contact for partners and collaborate with Customer Engineers on events and demo support.

• BA/BS degree, technical degree desired
• Native level of English.
• Min. 2 years B2B Sales or Business development experience in outbound sales in the IT industry
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts, in particular Google Cloud Platform
• Ability to connect business needs with adequate solutions, strong business acumen
• Strong interpersonal skills, team player and a high level of integrity and professionalism
• Comfortable working against an assigned quota in a phone based environment
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment
• Knowledge of CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
