Project Title: Developing Collective Free Music Improvisation Pedagogy to Engage Diverse Learners in the 21st Century

Project Introduction: This research project seeks to explore and develop Collective Free Music Improvisation (CFMI) pedagogy that aligns with 21st CC and the Primary and Lower Secondary (PLS) Music Syllabus outcomes, as well as engage diverse students in Singapore’s PLS Music Programme.

In this classroom intervention project, Ministry of Education (MOE) music teachers will first develop CFMI skills and pedagogy in a professional development workshop, and then craft and implement suitable CFMI pedagogies for their classes. The project will have two phases. In the first phase, up to 18 MOE music teacher volunteers will first learn CFMI skills and pedagogies in a CFMI workshop the PI conducts. In the second phase, up to five teacher volunteers from the workshop will create and implement a CFMI course for their respective classes to explore ways CFMI may be effectively delivered in various music classroom contexts in MOE schools.

These exploratory case studies will address the following research questions:

1) How do teachers design and conduct the CFMI programme to engage students and meet the PLS Music Syllabus outcomes and the 21st CC?

2) How do students learn to improvise in the CFMI programme designed by the teachers?

3) What are the learnings gained from the CFMI programme from the teachers’ and students’ perspectives?

Job Requirements:

• Minimum GCE O level
• Minimum 3 years experience of Document Control in Construction industry
• Proficient in MS Office - Good Knowledge of Aconex & Newforma is preferred

Job Purpose : Overseeing the vehicle recovery operations to ensure departmental KPIs are being met.The Operations Manager shall also represent the Company to handle public feedback and to liaise with various governmental authorities for all expressway vehicle recovery operations and activities including crisis, emergency exercises and other major national incidents or events.

Core Duties

• Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for Towing and Vehicle Recovery operations. Identify gaps and relevant correction actions to improve departmental KPI
• Oversees Fleet and Manpower status to ensure optimized utilization rate during daily operations
• Resolve problems concerning towing, vehicle recovery, or members of public issues unsolved by supervisory personnel
• Analyze the operational impact of proposed changes, such as routing and vehicle standby locations
• Interview, select and train supervisory and operational personnel. Conduct disciplinary investigations and hearings when required
• Prepare, vet and submit required reports to relevant stakeholders within the stipulated deadline
• Represent the Company as key personnel in dealings with key partners and governmental agencies

Job Specification

• Degree in transportation management or related disciplines
• Possess at least a Class 3 driving licence
• Preferably with working experience in emergency response agencies
• Must be able to communicate verbally concisely and effectively
• Able to write reports in English
• Shall be courteous and tactful when dealing with the public or customers
• Shall remain calm and in control when facing disaster-grade environments
• Prior knowledge and experience in executing and directing large-scale vehicle recovery operations such as chain collisions, vehicle recovery and craning and multiple heavy vehicle overturning is an advantage
• Familiar with rules under the LTA Act and RTA is an advantage

Accountabilities

• Manages all activities of month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare P&L, Balance sheet, Cash Flow statement and Bank reconciliation
• Lead month-end closing activities, review and post journals and prepare balance sheet schedule, AP/AR aging reports
• Prepare month-end closing journals for vendor cost, prepayment, corporate tax, forex, FDs, IFRS16 and ad-hoc JVs
• Review and sign-off monthly bank account and reconciliation statement.
• Responsible to lead statutory audit, tax audit and other audits as required and liaise with internal and external auditors
• GST return submission
• Responsible in fixed asset management and monitoring of lease contract and monitoring loan & hire purchase agreement
• Responsible for P&L forecast and 12 month rolling Cashflow projection
• Performance reporting: Responsible for preparing and submitting various financial reports
• Monitor customer revenue and vendor cost for pass through contracts
• Manage ad-hoc projects and process improvements
• Identify continuous improvement & automation initiatives: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (project managers & offshore team) as well as external stakeholders to improve processes.

Requirement

• Graduate holder in accounting or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant working experience
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
• Good command over IFS solution financial systems and processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint is a must. Power BI is good to have.

Account Receivable Job Role

• Preparing daily invoices to customers
• Issuing quotation or proforma invoice in accordance with project team
